1. Message from the General
===============================

Hey All,

Welcome to the first Sim Report we've had on Versailles in a while. Things were a little slow around Xmas, but you can see our log count has picked up since then, and I wanted to celebrate by showing people just how much great work has come out of this station since new years.

Since sim reports in the past have often seemed somewhat bloated to me, I've reduced the contents to the bits that people have seemed the most interested in in the past (including myself). If anyone doesn't see a bit that they liked, or thinks a part could be safely dropped, feel free to drop me a line.

These Sim Reports will now be going out once every three months, or thereabouts. Keep an eye open for next one some time in July. I may even put the next one at the end of June, so we can settle into a neat 3, 6, 9, 12 schedule. That way you guys also get a midwinter Sim Report, which is an added Xmas bonus. :)

Lastly, I should probably also mention that 5th Fleet has introduced a logging minimum. From now on you should expect command teams to produce a minimum of one log a week, so no change from me (*grins*). From the members, I ask that you churn out at least one log a month. This includes JLs. People who go a month without a log will be advised that we have noticed, and after two months we will be discussing the matter in council.

If you feel unable to log with that level of reliable frequency, either in the long or short term, please contact me or Amanda Bleetman (Puppy) and we will work with you to figure out a plan that works for everyone. We don't want to be in a position where people simply vanish off the face of the earth without telling anyone.

But we have some good news mixed in with all this doom and gloom. The next plot has begun, we can all say hello to two old friends (Nixon and Aza) who have returned and contributed logs and new characters to our merry little melange, and plans are already afoot to spread word of our merry band far and wide. Woohoo!

And with that, I bid you adieu.

Log well and be merry.

Best Regards

Brigadier General Jonathon Grey
Commanding Officer
Versailles

2. Logging Summary
===============================

The subtle forces of Omega wreathed the four quadrants in terror and uncertainty as they plied their trade; destabilising the major players by striking at trade routes and messing with smaller civilisations. By leaving no trace, fear turned to blame, and the major players were drawn to the brink of conflict.

The efforts of Omega eventually culminated in the detonation of a Chroniton Bomb; causing the very fabric of time to warp and disintegrate. Admiral Cerywyn, along with her Time Ship and the majority of the IXL fleet, sacrificed the last 14 months in order to stop the destruction; replacing all trace and memory of her for the last 14 months on Versailles.

In the amended present, the crew now recalls Commodore Kraat'Loss taking over from Cerywyn 14 months ago, before retiring last week. As for Omega, they were assumed destroyed in 2399, and never resurfaced.

The amended present is no bed of roses, however. Disaster has struck YaDalla, and earthquakes are causing devastation on a global scale! StarFleet has been called to reinforce the overwhelmed emergency services, but things are already spiralling out of control!

Can our intrepid heroes show up in time to save the day?
