One thing that Truffaut instilled into all of her lieutenants was, was to not underestimate any kind of security force, and in fact find ways to utilize them to your advantage.

Which exactly what Fvaiduk was about to do, the doors automatically swished open as he stepped into the reception area, walking up to the front desk, his eyes counting each and every officer, and everything else, “I would like to speak with the chief of security for the station,” Fvaiduk said, in his silky but slightly accented voice.

The desk officer looked up from the PADD he was reading. Turning it over so it was face down on his desk, he asked "And you are Sir?"

“Mr Fvaiduk, and I am looking to be opening a shop, and am just curious how often patrols walk the promenade,” Fvaiduk said, giving a small white lie to get some important information.

As the the two talked, a Security officer came away from their console, and walked up to the desk officer, who whispered in his ear, then turned about and went back to their console.

"You don't require the Chief of Security for that information Sir," the desk officer replied, "there are several patrols per day, plus other security arrangements in place. Please leave your contact details with Officer Gray," he indicated to an officer to his left, "and we will have a liaison officer come visit you at your convenience and suggest what safety measures you can take up yourself in addition, good day Sir.”

“This is a pity,” Fvaiduk said tsking tsking tsking, “especially someone as prominent as myself,” Fvaiduk added, looking at the other officer, “my line of business is gonna be brining in a lot of GPL, and as a Federation citizen I feel like if I need to discuss security with the chief I would at least given a chance to have someone see if the chief is free,” Fvaiduk said his expression never changing staying the same, the tone of voice said he was not pleased. In reality he didn’t really care he just needed to meet the chief for a little bit.

The desk officer was unimpressed with the words and the childish noises, it wasn't like he hadn't heard this before.

"I'm afraid I have to apologise Sir, I appear to have completely run out of giving a fu...." the desk officer began to say.

"...n fact to everyone who comes in here" Finchley finished for his subordinate. He'd been leaning up against the door frame, listening to the conversation before he decided to say anything. He pushed himself off of the frame and began walking towards Fvaiduk, then continued walking past him.

As he did so he said "You Sir are neither prominent, nor are you a shop keeper, a shop keeper would never enter the Security Department in the first place, and even if they did,
they certainly wouldn't enter it and ask to speak with the Chief of Security. A shop keeper would would send an enquiry to the Security Department and ask if someone could meet them at their establishment so they could ask the questions they need to at their establishment. That leaves you being a bullshitter Mr Fvaiduk, and untrustworthy. Two things in this world my mother told me to wary of, bullshitters and people who want to use subterfuge to get what they're really after. Good day Mr Fvaiduk, the exit door is the same one you came through in the first place."

Once he'd finished speaking, he entered his office and closed the door behind him. Outside in the outer Security area, thee desk officer looked at Fvaiduk and said "The Chief's not available Sir, as I said, give your contact details to officer Gray and a liaison officer will come and see you at your earliest convenience, good day Sir."

{Cocky, arrogant and a ego, hmm, I can work with this.} Fvaiduk thought as he turned and left getting more than probably what those thuggish, so-called security officers even realized, without really giving anything up himself.

Finchley opened the doors to his office and stepped outside. He looked at the desk officer and said "That was nearly a slip of the tongue there Jack."

"Almost Sir, but deliberate, I didn't think you'd let me follow through on what I was saying" Jack replied.

"Mmmmmmm" was all Finchley replied with, along with arching his eyebrows. He then looked at the officer who had come up and whispered in Jacks ear not long after Fvaiduk had first arrived.

"You sensed something Alexis, and told Jack?" Finchley said to the Betazoid Officer.

"Yes Sir, I'm not sure about him being a shop keeper, I could sense an attempt to....distract almost. There was something else he's hiding, but I can't tell you what it is, it's to deep routed, I'd need time to see if I could get to what it is. I did sense he was trying to be manipulative though, like he was scheming" she finished.

"Well, in that case, Mr Fvaiduk just put himself on our radar" Finchley said. "I'd like some background information on him, use Wonderland, they're convivial and gregarious up to a point, then downright nasty and obtuse when required. Ladies and gentlemen, this gives us an opportunity, one that invited itself in here of it's own accord, no coaxing on our part. I don't know about you, but my senses are tingling, Mr Fvaiduk is now of extreme interest to Security and our partners..."
